Wee Mad Jango

Nobody else could think of a better title.

In Truce, something was going deeply wrong. Two Reploids were kidnapped by an apparently bodiless voice and "examined" in a manner that damaged them severely. More were threatened with the same fate until one of the past kidnapees, the ex-Hunter Seikou, sacrificed his own life to protect his friends and kin.

However, his sacrifice did not go as he intended. Instead of merely killing him or brining him to near-death with examinations, the voice, who was revealed to be Jango, the God of Night himself, transformed Seikou into his unwilling champion and prophet. Each night, Seikou would be forced to relay the messages of the dark one, his own personality forced back.

Seikou made many attempts to rebel, and each time was stopped using either threats towards his friends or actualy physical modifications to Seikou's systems. The last time he rebelled, however - delivering information to the quickly-forming anti-Jango force - the God of Night grew annoyed and destroyed him, taking the Maverick Vice as his new champion.

Vice remained to attempt to infiltrate the anti-Jango force, but he was found out eventually and fled. Meanwhile, the robot Fortissimo was chosen as a second champion in exchange for power. However, he proved strikingly incompetent, being beaten over and over again.

The unnamed anti-Jango force, consisting of the Koopa Milo, the Reploid Taldidar (who was the champion of the Goddess Arctic), and the rather odd Astra, sought the aid of a Hunter scientist, Rika, to rebuild Seikou. While he was being rebuilt, his conciousness was placed in Taldidar's body, and the two lead an interesting double life.

Jango sought to remove the conciousness from Taldidar and destroy Seikou for good, but Arctic continued to prevent him from doing so. Eventually, the Dark God and Arctic fell into battle, Arctic barely escaping from Jango's domain and imbuing power in Taldidar. Despite his new powers, Seikou's data was lost to Vice, and although Rika had backups, his memory throughout the entire period he spent with Taldidar was lost entirely.

Soon, Seikou's rebuilding was completed, and all was mostly quiet, until Fortissimo made another attack attempt. Although the group easily escaped him, much of the Maverick Hunter base was destroyed in the proccess, and Signas dissolved the Hunters as a group. Rika was disraught at this, and soon her reasons for joining in the first place were revealed: She was after revenge against the Maverick who had killed much of Shrike... Better known as Seikou.
Although Rika was calmed down after her initial burst of rage, she began to hear a faint voice, telling her that she needed to gain revenge, it was the only way. She lured Seikou away once and failed to kill him, and then was told by the voice to go to the inn in Rocket Town.

The voice was revealed to be the cloaked Vice, who offered her revenge against Seikou. Although the next attempt to kill him also failed, Rika and Vice escaped together, thus losing a major asset for the Anti-Jango League.

Vice, who had mostly borken away from Jango at this point, began to wander the land with Rika. However, at some point, Rika was infected with Jango's darkness, and Vice went Maverick again upon this revelation. Eventually, however, Rika was able to cure the Virus, but she remained tainted by Jango.
Eventually, the "final" clash of the Gods occured, with Arctic and Jango battling and nearly tearing the balance of the mortal realm apart. Eventually, Jango conceeded, but...

After a time, more servants of Jango began to appear, apparently headed by a man named "Zedd". Seikou raged against Jango, claiming he was still interfering, and eventually annoyed Jango enough that he was destroyed. Seikou roamed as a ghost for a while, watching helplessly as Jango used what was once his body to attack his friends, eventually agreeing to aid Jango in exchange for two things: Aura's safety, and his life.

Meanwhile, the young Rika and Vice were once again affected by Jango due to a series of mental breakdowns, and Rika ended up the prophet of Jango's word, unwillingly having dark visions that influenced her life negatively. Eventually, however, she seemed to semi-willingly accept Jango, although her reasons are clouded.

Also, the god "Ageatii" finally realized the truth of Arctic's accusations of Jango, and promised seclusion to Variance and his friends - in exchange for Variance's solitude once the threat had left. The group set off for Arlia at once, leaving Seikou, Vice, and Rika behind.

Recently, Jango seems to have gone quiet again. However, much has still been left in his wake - Fortissimo still sits in Jango's lab, half-upgraded... Seikou and Variance still are unable to be truly friends any more... and perhaps, just maybe, the Dark God is merely plotting more...
