Lete River - Roadway

Forte - Kaze no Senshi is here.
Spider ) is here.
(Charmed) A baby wolf runs around, yipping constantly.
Coraveda - "What a horrible night to have a curse," is here.

Spider begins to bandage the wounds after shifting the ribbons out of the way. "Search me."
Dingo immediately backs as far away from Forte and Spider as possible at the arrival of this new stranger, huddling by Coraveda's feet with his tail between his legs.
Slowly opening her eyes to a thick blurry haze, Coraveda painstakingly focuses her brilliant red gaze on Spider. '...Spi...der...'
Forte says ' Hey, She is alive. Thats a step up.'
Aile scuttles in, having extended the spidery legs on his hoverchair again. The reason for this is obvious, as several of them are dripping with imp blood. He enters the area and observes the goings-on for a while.
Spider manages a grin. "Lotus-girl. You're awake. Good to see."
Coraveda has still not moved an inch, but lies there heavily with glimmer of pain behind her dreamy eyes. She cannot quite manage a smile as she mutters '...long... time... no see...'
Spider grabs one of Coraveda's hands, squeezing it. "I missed you." He didn't know if he had or not, but it was a pleasant lie.
Through Coraveda's fresh white bandages, new blood is already beginning to show.
Spider says '...We need to get to the medic.'
Forte says ' That seems too be a damn good idea.'
Aile finally speaks up. 'Need a hand carrying her?'
Spider looks over at Aile, startled for a moment, then nods. "That'd be nice. Thanks, buddy."
Forte looks around and blinks a few times "What the hell?"
Aile smiles impishly at Spider. 'Just tie her to my back like every other casualty.'
Spider picks up Coraveda as gently as possible, carrying her towards Aile.
Coraveda has a troubled look in her eyes as she blurrily scans their unrecognizable faces. 'N, no, don't... you...' The effort of speaking strains her, and she begins coughing.
Spider looks at Coraveda, concerned. "Lotus, we need to get you help..."
Dingo tags along behind Spider, closely but not too closely, whimpering and tugging at one of Cora's loose ribbons.
Coraveda shakes her head, but before she can muster up the energy to explain further, she has fallen unconcious in his arms.
Aile sighs.
Spider places her atop Aile's wheelchair, tying her down with her own ribbons. "Thanks again for the help."
Forte says ' Well, Thats anti-climatic. Here I was expecting a dragon to show up and try and take her away.'
Aile nods solemnly. 'You were gone way too long to just be thinking about stuff... I figured you might need a hand.' He scuttles off and waves one of the spidery appendages. 'Or a leg.'
Spider follows after Aile. "Sorry to just run off like that, though."
Forte blinks some, shrugs, and continues walking along the river looking for Rock.
Aile shakes his head again. 'You didn't take any booze with you... I figured you needed some time alone. Don't worry too much about it.'
Dingo scampers after Aile, yelping at the spidery limbs carrying the target of his apparent loyalty.
Spider grins, although there's something strained about it. "Don't worry, I'm saving the booze for later."
Aile stops a moment and gently picks up Dingo in his arms, placing the little yipper on top of Coraveda's chest.
Aile scuttles off toward Selan's place. 'Coming, Spider?'
Spider is following after. "Of course. I mean, I was dating her, right?"
Aile stops dead in his tracks. He looks toward Spider, pulling out a bottle of tequila and brandishing it threateningly. 'You were WHAT?'
Aile says 'YOU WERE PICKING UP CHICKS HERE AND DIDN'T BRING ME ALONG?!'
Spider pauses to think. "I think I remember this girl. She and I at the least flirting. In fact, didn't I taunt you about it?"
Aile advances on Spider. 'Next time you go cruising for chicks, you're bringing me along... or you'll never see another drop of your favorite tequila. We're -partners-, remember?'
Spider nods, grinning. "Will do. But this one's mine when she wakes up, K?"
Aile nods. 'Prior claim is fine and all, just keep it in mind for when this one shoots you down, okay?'
Spider smirks. "Will do. For now, to the healer?"

Truce - Modest House
A plump housecat loafs around here, lounging in self-appreciativeness.
A plump housecat loafs around here, lounging in self-appreciativeness.
Helping those incapable of helping themselves, the healer Selan is here.

As Coraveda is carried into the room, the housecats begin to hiss and yowl, darting out the front door.
Aile enters the room and gently unties Coraveda, placing her on the floor near Selan with a few legs. 'Would you mind helping us out a little?'
Selan kneels down over Coraveda, checking for any obvious defects. "What happened?"
Spider says 'No idea. I found her unconcious in the Lete River.'
Coraveda has bandages around her right shoulder, but they have already been soaked through. Her breathing is ragged and she's still damp, and there are several small puncture wounds along one leg.
Dingo is licking said puncture wounds.
Selan nods. The puncture wounds seem small enough to not cause any immediate trouble. She starts unwrapping the bandages, to have a look at the damage under them and if necessary, replace them with fresh ones.
Coraveda is displaying a puncture wound completely through her shoulder underneath the bandages.
Spider leans against the wall, silent.
Selan goes through the general motions of disinfecting the wounds and applying magical healing to close them. Pretty standard procedure.
Aile pokes Spider in the side. 'Bolt for your thoughts.'
Spider looks over at Aile. "Oh, just remembering Lotus as best I can."
Aile says 'If you're remembering her without her clothes I'm going to require a printout.'
Spider looks embarrassed. "I... don't think I ever actually got to see her naked."
Aile grins. 'I didn't really think so.'
Selan looks up disapprovingly. "Could you discuss this elsewhere?" She then gets back to her work.
Spider talks more quietly. "She was hot as hell, though. She dances."
Aile grins even wider. 'What kind of dances?'
Spider grins. "Apparently they're magical, but part of being magic is apparently being hot."
Coraveda suddenly sits bolt upright, screaming in pain and clawing at her shoulder. 'AAAAAAAGH!!' Blood runs down her back and the angry wound looks enflamed by the healing magic.
Spider looks over at Coraveda, shocked. "Lotus?!"
Aile would have jumped halfway to the ceiling had he been on legs. As it is, he scuttles in a small circle. 'Hell of a voice on her, too.'
Dingo sits back and makes a tiny baby howl in time with Coraveda's scream. 'Awooooo~'
Selan leaps back startled, reflexively grasping her rod. She takes a few moments to clear her mind and reassess the situation.
Aile says 'I'm no expert in human biology, but... that's not what was supposed to happen, was it?'
Coraveda continues to scream and bleed steadily.
Spider looks desperate. "Do something!"
Selan points her rod at Coraveda, yelling "Drowsy!" She splits a portion of the magical energies in Dingo's direction, too.
Dingo immediately stops howling and flops over, asleep.
Coraveda also immediately stops screaming, and slowly lies back. Her blood flow is mostly staunched now that she has been calmed, but she sleepily clutches at her shoulder.
Coraveda mutters 'Fight... fire.. with fire...' before she once again falls unconcious.
Spider blinks at the final statement. "...was that just a blood-loss-induced inanity, or should we try to hurt her, or what?"
Selan blinks at the odd statement. "Either of you have an idea what that means?" Meanwhile, she puts her rod aside and reaches for a dry bandage, opting not to try healing magic again considering what it did last time.
Aile shrugs. 'I seem to remember something about sterilizing wounds with hot metal, like a needle that's been in a fire. Maybe that'd work here?'
"Well, wounds can be cauterized to stop bleeding... not the cleanest solution in most cases, but it works."
Dingo farts a little in his sleep, and kicks his leg.
Spider says 'Want to try it?'
Aile says 'Well, if healing magic doesn't work, and bandaging just makes it worse, I say give plan C a try...'
Selan says 'You don't know what caused the wound, right?'
Spider says 'No clue.'
Coraveda is breathing raggedly and looks remarkably pale for her usual dark complexion; it is fairly obvious now that the multiple scratches on her leg DID heal.
Selan says "Okay then. Here goes." She puts the bandage aside again, not having actually gotten around to applying it, and starts to concentrate - after all, her fire spells are designed to burn people to death, so it takes some effort to make sure it doesn't do more than it's supposed to. Finally she whispers, "Spark." Small flames dance at the wound, sealing the bleeding if all goes well. Big if, there...
Coraveda lets out a deep sigh, and the wound begins to knit itself closed. Smoke of various colors streams off above her as the wound is sealed into an angry scar in the shape of a star on both sides.
Spider blinks. "...Is that normal?"
Aile says 'Well, she's not screaming this time.'
Dingo twitches in his sleep at this moment, chasing something imaginary...
Selan blinks as well. "Most wounds don't leave clearly defined shapes when they heal."
Aile grumbles, not wanting to sound like a jerk to Selan. '...Most wounds don't make healing magic hurt, either.'
Spider shrugs. "At least she seems better?"
"Clearly, whatever caused the wound left some sort of magical residue. I'll have to examine the energies here in order to figure out what to do about it. In any case, she seems stable for the time being."
Aile grins. 'I'd say the scar would be a conversation piece, but with a body like that, she doesn't really need one... right, Spider?'
Spider grins as well. "You always have excellent points, Aile."
Coraveda opens one eye, but only halfway. '...pervert.....'
Selan grumbles, then yells out "Droplet!" Cold water splashes over Aile and Spider.
Aile says 'I deserved that, I suppose.'
Spider splutters indignantly.
Coraveda mutters 'I tried... to tell you... not to heal me,' - and pauses for breath - 'Same... clueless... Spider ... always stubborn... men.' She attempts to roll her eyes.
Spider walksover to kneel by Coraveda. "I thought you were just incoherent." He tilts his head. "Will you forgive me?"
Feebly, Coraveda's delicate hand goes to Spider's cheek. 'Depends... will you... forgive me?' She makes a weak smile. 'I left... so suddenly...'
Aile grins and leaves the room so Spider can get his mack on without a third wheel.
Spider nods. "It's fine, Lotus. I'm just glad you're back." He smiles slightly.
Coraveda gently tilts her head. 'You... still call me Lotus...' She closes her eyes. 'My name is... Coraveda... Vitalus.'
Selan sits down next to Coraveda. She's trying to get a sense of the magical energies in Coraveda. Just as she said.
Spider smiles more warmly. "I'm glad you finally told me."
Selan shakes her head. "So now that you're with us, care to explain what happened?"
Coraveda looks to Selan. 'I left Truce... on my own... looking for a cure...' She squints up and rubs her temples. 'Ugh, my head - I ... I don't remember much... I discovered something on a mountain...'
Spider just sits next to Coraveda, looking concerned.
Coraveda tries to recall, but it visibly eludes her. 'Someone else was there ... flames ... and the next thing you know .... I'm falling into the river.'
Dingo slips his way under Spider's arm and into Coraveda's lap, lying there and peering up at him challengingly.
Spider smiles at the puppy. "This little guy's cute, by the way."
Coraveda looks down at him. 'I've never seen him before.'
Spider blinks. "Really? He seems fairly attached."
Coraveda smiles slowly. 'I'll be keeping an eye on him... thank you for helping me...' She nods to Selan. 'Anybody else would have burnt me alive.'
"...What?"
Coraveda almost laughs, but looks pained at the effort. 'I hate fire.'
Spider grins weakly. "Suprised you asked for it, then."
Coraveda says 'What? ... I asked... for it?'
Spider says '...As you were passing out from pain, you told us to fight fire with fire.'
Coraveda shakes her head. 'I don't remember that at all.'
Spider says 'Well, you weren't exactly doing well...'
Dingo jumps down as Coraveda attempts to rise.
Coraveda says 'I'm not sitting around here... all day...'
Spider offers a supporting arm to Coraveda.
Coraveda takes it, wobbling a bit. 'Thanks... Selan...for the jump start.' She clings to Spider with her good arm, hobbling for the door with Dingo in tow.
"Careful, though. There's still some sort of curse present. There's no way of telling what it might do if not treated."
"Unfortunately, I don't really know what to do about it."
Coraveda stops.
Spider stops as well, looking back at Selan. "...Curse?"
Coraveda says 'There's a curse on me? Ha, ha.. ahahah... ahahahaha... that's an understatement...' She laughs bitterly as she once again makes for the door.
