Beorn enters the town square, looking obviously dishevelled in spite of his cloaked figure. He gives a slight node to the other fountain-goers and proceeds to the bench to sit down.

Omega is just standing around, leaning against.. ... Something. She just glares at random people that wander past her.

Selrin quietly bobs and weaves between buildings, trying to be stealthy for one reason or another, slipping behind one of the benches and peeking up over the top of it for certain familiar faces. /One, two... c'mon, guy, hurry up! I wanna -move-!/

Raitzeno hops down off of a nearby rooftop into the square, looking really cool except for the now-soaked boot and the fact that his lips are moving slightly in silent curses. He appears to have landed on something purple.

Beorn lets out a small laugh. "Still following your own paths and purposes, I see. Long time."

Raitzeno walks over to the bench and sits next to Beorn, his temporarily fuschia boot stomping slightly with each step in an attempt to forcefully shake off the goo. 'Heyo, all... everybody ready to go?'

Selrin blinks and whips her gaze over to Raitzeno, hopping up from behind her 'hiding place'. "You bet!" She miles brightly, pumping a fist in the air.

Beorn nods. "If we're all ready then..."

Beorn says 'Let's go.'

Raitzeno nods to everyone, with an added smirk towards Omega. 'Indeed.'

Raitzeno says 'Our first stop on this little joyride is going to be Crysta. I have some business to take care of there before really heading out on the open road.'

Raitzeno says 'Let's hit it.'

Selrin nods and heroically points vaguely southwest, starting to march down the road in a way that would get her special honors in the Ministry of Silly Walks. "To Crysta!"

[[ Guardia - A Bridge ]]

Raitzeno trips and falls in the pond, but manages to fish himself out before getting hooked. He tries to cover it up and fails miserably.

The old fisherman shakes his head and clucks at Raitzeno. 'You'd better watch yourself there, Raitzeno. You're a bit late, and Ark is getting impatient. Dripping on his carpet isn't likely to help his mood.'

Selrin blinks and sniggers, making absolutely no effort to hide it.

Raitzeno ignores the old codger and keeps moving.

[[ Placid Village, Crysta - The Gate ]]

Raitzeno stares at the statue for a moment before it recognizes business and moves out of the way.

[[ Crysta - Ark's Room ]]

Raitzeno smiles confidently as he enters Ark's room - and then promptly loses the smugness as he catches the spear just in time. 'Whoa, whoa, it's me.'

Ark shakes his head. 'I'm aware it's you, Raitzeno. I'm not currently angry at anyone else. You're very, VERY late. I trust you have the item?'

Selrin yelps and scuttles behind Omega, trying to keep as far away from that blonde guy and his spear of anti-her without actually leaving the room...

Beorn lies against the wall and watches the ensuing "action", an unnoticed smirk across his face.

Raitzeno nods frantically, putting a bit more distance between himself and his irate contact. 'Of course I got it. If I came here empty-handed I highly doubt I'd be able to dodge that thing. As it stands, it's still risky.'

Omega looks at Selrin. "...." ... She goes back to watching Raitzeno.

Raitzeno hefts the Zephyrus in his right hand. 'Now I'm going to, very lightly and gently, toss this over onto the bed, and then you are going to just as lightly toss me your end of the bargain, and neither of us is going to accidentally harm each other.

'Okay?' Ark simply nods impatiently, motioning for Raitzeno to get on with it.

Selrin slowly relaxes from her position behind Omega, sniffing the air a bit. She looks closer at Omega's arm, sniffing a bit more...

Raitzeno tosses the spear over onto the bed very gently, as agreed, as Ark tosses a small object, rather less gently, right between Raitzeno's eyes. 'Ow. I realize you could kill me as easily as look at me, but I held up my end of the bargain. That was uncalled for.' Ark simply smiles. 'Just a little repayment for being late, Raitzeno. Consider us even.'

Omega looks at Selrin. "...What? Smell something you like?"

Selrin looks up innocently. "...Maybe?"

Raitzeno says 'We're done here. Let's get going, everyone, and mind that you don't touch any of his... lovely little weapons... on your way out. He doesn't like that.'

Beorn gives Ark an obvious nod and walks over to the door.

Omega looks at Ark. "...." She then glares at Selrin. "I dont know what that means. But I doubt you are correct in what you are thinking."

Selrin meeps and jumps again as soon as she's addressed, standing and nodding. "Yeah, got it, going now!" And out she sprints through the door, mainly out of fear that one of those 'lovely weapons' would accidentally poke her and, uh... hurt?

Without looking back, Beorn says, "Be careful with what--and whom--you deal with, Ark. You of all people should know that." He then proceeds through the door.

Omega follows Raizin. "This trip is already becoming a burden of annoyance."

Selrin has since slowed down, much more casual after running out of range of Ark and his aura of retina-searing goodness. "Ah, c'mon, it's not that bad!"

Raitzeno quietly sneaks the group out as Ark examines his new weapon. He manages to close the door fast enough that Ark's cackle is muffled, sounding more like a normal laugh.

Raitzeno says 'Right, let's continue on. That man has some surprising bad habits that I want to be rather far away from.'

Raitzeno nods to the fisherman as the group exits the village. 'Hope you choke, geezer,' he says in a friendly tone. 'Rust and plotz, scrapheap,' the old man replies in just as friendly a tone.

Omega smirks. "You aren't going to go for another swim?"

Raitzeno shakes his head. 'I've had my bath for today, thanks. You, on the other hand... it appeared Selrin could whiff you from rather far. Sure you don't wanna jump in yourself?'

Omega frowns. "Rather not."

Selrin ducks her head down a little and digs a foot into the ground. "I, uh... only did that 'cause I was hungry and she looked... y'know..."

Selrin trails off as she catches sight of the hapless young man nearby. "...just a sec." She suddenly darts over to him and -leaps- on him, barely letting the poor guy get half a scream out...

Raitzeno nods at Selrin and whispers at her with a mischeivous grin. 'Tasty? I've entertained the same thought, if in a slightly different manner, but I believe it would be best not to voice it...'

Omega raises an eyebrow. "Tasty? I am not organic, kid."

Selrin drags back the lifeless, bleeding body with her, heaving it over her shoulder. "Yeah, that's what I figured. That's why I've got this guy!" She pats the ex-farmer's shoulder with her free hand.

Raitzeno laughs. 'Punishment just and fair. That kid was a complete ass.'

Beorn suddenly looks straight towards the setting sun. "The day grows late. Are we just going to stand here?"

Selrin blinks. "Really? Huh. Those types're usually pretty rancid." She shrugs and takes another nip, apparently planning on bringing the whole body along with her on the way. "And, uh.. that guy has a point."

Raitzeno nods to Beorn. 'We'll camp here for the night. I'll take watch, seeing as I don't really need to sleep.'

Omega looks up, and smiles. "Beautiful weather, at least." She holds her arms out up in the air. "Now we just need a storm..."

Beorn nods, wrapping his cloak around himself and sitting down.

Selrin looks up just in time to get a raindrop in her eye, cueing a rather... inventive curse. "Ugh, not a storm, storms suck! Lightning's no fun to get hit by!"

Raitzeno nods gloomily at Selrin. 'Stormy nights are no fun. I far prefer being able to see the moon, for practical reasons as well as aesthetic. Ah well...'

Omega chuckles darkly. "If you say so. I do believe im going to just sit over here." She wanders away and just stands around.

Selrin huffs and plops herself on the ground, draining her victim much more rapidly with the threat of having her meal diluted, muttering muffled things all the while...

Beorn looks up towards Raitzeno for a second, then looks back down at the ground. "So, you know Ark too then?"

Raitzeno listens for a bit, then shakes his head. /Where'd a nice girl like that learn words like those? Still, at least she's talkative... unlike our little ray of sunshine over there./

Raitzeno nods at Beorn. 'I've had business with him before. Neither of us particularly likes the other, but we both have connections the other occasionally needs, so...' He shrugs. 'You get the picture.'

Raitzeno says 'I still say he needs to marry that girl and be done with it. Maybe have some kids. The process, at least, might loosen him up a bit... maybe make him a tolerable personality...'

Beorn says 'Well, you know Ark. Even *that* might not cheer him up to the point of "liking" other company.'

Omega just... stands there. There isn't much else to describe. She just stands there like a statue, staring off into the distance.

Selrin fumbles a bit, but manages to hold the now bloodless body up over her head as a makeshift umbrella...

Raitzeno nods disgruntledly. 'Yeah, unfortunately, I -do- know him. It is rather a stretch, isn't it? But it's the best I can come up with to make him more likable short of making him about a foot shorter at the collar...'

Raitzeno says 'Listen... my next stop... We need to talk.'

Beorn jumps up and stretches slightly. "Talk?"

Raitzeno says 'I need to deliver this to Gold City, and I know you don't particularly like the place... but I have some business to take care of there. I have both a delivery and an assassination to make there, and I could really use your help in both. I'd understand if you didn't want to, but...'

Selrin finds a bit of amusement in making one of the farmer guy's hands slap him in the face while calling out 'stop hitting yourself' when appropriate.

Beorn lets out an audible sigh and finally removes his hood. Underneath, a mixture of anger, sadness and thought passes across his face. "Gold City...It's been a long time." He looks at his clawed fist, then back towards Raitzeno. "Very well, I'll help. But keep my identity secret there."

Beorn says 'Though I wouldn't mind it so much, I don't think the kids over here would enjoy a big fight in the City.'

Raitzeno nods gratefully. 'Many thanks. You have my word, and my gratitude. Your assistance will be invaluable there.' He notices Omega watching, and quickly switches out of his serious tone. 'And did you hear the one about the geomancer in the whorehouse? Man, that's a real- oh, uhh, did you need something, Omega?'

Omega raises an eyebrow. She smirks. "No. Of course not."

You tell Omega 'It's just one of the oldest things ever, that's all. XP Major cheese factor. But the image -is- amusing, I couldn't resist.'

Selrin perks up at the mention of a Geomancer, then seemingly randomly shouts "SANDSTOOOORM!" in reply and flops onto her back, letting the body fall onto her. Bored? Why no, what makes you think that?

Selrin doesn't register the glare as one, she isn't in any position to see it and two, she really doesn't care. She's fed, she's been up and about, life is good.

Beorn looks around, then sits back down and idly sharpens a knife from his belt.

Selrin just lies on her side, using her 'friend' as a blanket and... idling. Idling a lot. Sleep isn't really an option for her, sadly.

Raitzeno silently paces in circles, supplementing his uneventful night watch of the flat plains with not-so-subtly staring at the much more interesting hills around him.
