Seikou sits on a roof as always, one foot dangling below him. His staff lays on the roof beside him, one hand resting on the shaft.

Variance isn't lazing around on the bench this time(for once in his life >.>), instead opting to rest against the fountain, looking somewhat more alert than usual.

Seikou jumps off the roof and walks over to Variance. "Konnichiwa, Variance-sama," he calls. He looks somehow more... cheery.

Variance nods in reply, obviously not quite as jubilant as Seikou, but not what most would call 'emo', either. Occasionally his unfocused gaze flicks to his still insignia-less shoulder...

Seikou leans besides the fountain next to Varaince and stares at the sky, smiling. "...I met another Reploid today... A girl named Aura."

Variance perks up a bit, now having a reason to pay attention to his environs. "Aura... Don't believe I've met her yet."

Seikou smiles more at the memory. "She was... nice, if really naive. She knew nothing about the war and I had to explain it to her... and then she asked if I had to eat, for some unknown reason."

Variance starts his usual nod of complacency, but stops in the middle, brow raising in mild bewilderment. Not knowing about the Maverick/Hunter conflict is understandable, but -eating-? /And here I thought -I- was the strange one.../

Seikou grins at Variance. "I really liked her, even if she was naive..."

Seikou says '...She said we might meet again... I hope she was right...'

Variance nods once, returning the grin with a tone of acceptance. "I'm glad you do." He felt the odd urge to go on about there not being enough love in the world, but decided against, sparing everyone from a particularly mushy speech.

Seikou says 'So, what are we doing today, oh fearless leader?'

Variance idly prods at a loose bit of stone on the ground, trying to recall something. "I haven't heard anything urgent yet..."

Seikou nods. "That's good!"

You say 'I suppose it's back to the usual, then.'

Seikou says 'Sitting around near the fountain?'

Variance flushes slightly in embarrassment and quickly retorts, "The -other- usual."

Seikou blinks. "Wandering around and killing things?

You say '...I guess that's basically what it comes down to, yes.'

Seikou sighs. "Alrighty..."

Seikou suddenly thinks of something. "I'll stay here and guard Truce while you go on active duty, OK?"

Variance nods and stands fully upright. "Fair enough." He turns to start northwards, briefly pausing to consider questioning Seikou's reasons for staying, but thinks better of it and starts off.

Seikou grins once Vari is out of sight. "Yes! Now I can be here when Aura comes back!" He grins and settles against the fountain...
