My Dear MH-01,
If you are reading this, then I fear for the worst.
I am sure you are curious and somewhat at a loss for what
brought you to be, so allow me to explain.

You where to be a replacement, a successor to Mega Man, whom I was forced
to seal away inside a capsule for fear that his moralprotocoles where not
built to stand the emmense task of defending the human race
time and again from destruction or at times, all out slavery.

So with Mega Man... Rock locked away untill my testing programs have
determined just where his loyalties would fall,
I set about creating one who's task was just that.
To protect the human race, and preserve our world as we know it.
I set about creating you, MH-01.

But taht accursed rift was growing ever wider, swallowing
more and more of our world.
We first discovered its existance when a rogue bot Rock and
his predicessor, Protoman captured was taken when he tried to escape
my lab.
Even now, I see that dark shadows have crept over the
old lab of my former student and long time enemy of the human race,
Dr. Wily.
We where forced to abandon my precious lab.
Roll, Protoman, myself, and Rock's encapsulated body where forced
to either leave the lab or suffer the same Wily's lab and his rogue robot
have already.
Even now as I lenger to leave you this, I am in danger
of this anomaly.

I was never able to test you or your abilities.
I could not afford to have another unstable robot on my hands.
So for the sake of returning here in the future, I leave you this log.
It can in no way make up for my abandonment of you.
From here, all that I can do is hope that when and whereever
you have become activated that you would seek to protect life,
not steal it.
You are destined for great things, MH-01. If I would have had
the chance to finish you, you would have been the greatest
protector I would ever know.
But where ever you are, I prey that you find a way back to us.
Maybe with what information you have gathered by then
we can figure out a way to stop this rift, or at least slow it's rate of growth.
